Using the System Management Utility

The SystemManagement utility (SYSMAN) is a facility supporting the clusterwork of the security administrator. Through its centralized managementof nodes and clusters, SYSMAN lets you perform system managementtasks from your local node that the utility executes on all nodesin the target environment.

To use SYSMAN requires OPER privilege on the local node andauthorization for the OPER privilege on any remote node. The utilitydoes not require a password when you are operating within a clusterin your own account. The operating system audits any logical linkconnections or any operation in which the utility requires a password.

System managers using SYSMAN should be careful that logicalnames are set to the same name on each node.
