SNORT® for HP OpenVMS

» Download SNORT® V2.8-531A for OpenVMS Integrity servers (August 2010)

HP is pleased to announce a new, customer release version of Snort® OpenVMS Integrity servers, based on Snort® V2.8.5.3, which runs on OpenVMS Integrity servers V8.3-1H1 or higher.

Snort® on OpenVMS is a network intrusion detection software capable of performing real-time traffic analysis, alerting network intrusions and packet logging on IP networks. It utilizes a combination of protocol analysis and pattern matching to detect anomalies, misuse and attacks.

Snort® uses a flexible rules language to describe activity that can be considered malicious or anomalous. Snort® also has an analysis engine that incorporates a modular plug-in architecture.

For details on the features supported and working of Snort® on OpenVMS, see OpenVMS Guide to Build and Run Snort® .
