How do I remove the system dump file?

» close window

The Question is:

How can I get rid of the SYSDUMP.DMP files that AUTOGEN
creates during the GENFILES phase? Just deleting
them doesn't seem to really give more disk space. What
about the DUMPFILE parameter?

The Answer is :

In MODPARAMS.DAT, set DUMPFILE=0. Then use SYSGEN> CREATE to create
a stub dump file. Then reboot the system to switch over to the new
dump file. PURGE away the old dump file. Then analyze the system disk.
