HP OpenVMS Systems

SMTP email processing problems on OpenVMS?

The Question is:

 
Hi,
   We have two Alpha's here running VMS.  The first system:
 
  DIGITAL TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Alpha Version V4.2
  on a AlphaServer 8400 Model 5/625 running OpenVMS V7.1-1H1
 
doesn't have a problem send email via smtp.
 
the second system:
 
  DIGITAL TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Alpha Version V4.2
  on a AlphaServer 4100 5/400 4MB running OpenVMS V7.1-1H2
 
appears to send the mail, but never does.  It can't receive
it either.
 
Myself and and excellent VMS person have gone thru everything
and can't find where the problems lies.
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Answer is :

 
  The Wizard will assume that the systems can "ping"; that
  the network link has been tested out.
 
  Acquire the current TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS ECO kit
  and apply it.
 
  If the ECO does not resolve the problem, then please contact
