Will a microVAX 3100, run VMS V4.2 - V4.7?
 
 
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  No.
 
  There are a plethora of different MicroVAX 3100 series models.
  The oldest of these require V5.1-B or later, while the more recent
  members require a minimum of V5.5-2H4.
 
  In this range of versions, the use of one of the following MicroVAX
  systems is feasible: the MicroVAX 3500 requires V4.7A or later, the
  MicroVAX 2000 requires V4.5B or later, and the MicroVAX II requires
