extra linefeeds printing vfc files via telnet?

The Question is:

 
I'm using a telnet relay queue, pointing back to
a lpd queue on the same Alpha, because I want to
use forms to change the left margin in the printout.
When I'm printing VFC-files the telnet-symbiont is
adding an extra linefeed to every line. Is there
any way to get rid of this linefeed ?

  Please contact the customer support center for assistance with this.
  Please expect to be asked the name and version of the IP package that
  is installed, and about any installed ECOs for the IP package.  Also
  please expect to be asked specifics about the form and queue settings,
  as well as the attributes of the VFC files.
