Printer set-up and forms? (landscape, portrait)

» close window

The Question is:

We have an alphasevrver 1000 , openvms ver 7.0, ucx ver 4.0, and a HP
laserjet 4m+ with a jet direct card.

we are able to print plain text to the printer in what ever mode the printer
is currentlty set on, land or port.

How do you set the software to do portrait or landscape and change the
fonts?

Thanks

The Answer is :

The DCPS package, and specifically the DPCS-Open package, is the normal
mechanism used to operate with third-party Postscript-capable printers
  on OpenVMS systems.

Selections of specific operating modes for non-Postscript printers will
generally involve the use of modules inserted in device control libraries.
(SYSDEVCTL.TLB is the system default device control library.) For
information on setting up and using device control libraries, please
see the OpenVMS system management documentation.
