The Question is:

My total physical memory on sthe UCRWCU VAX IS 65536.
My main memory is 32.00 Mb. What is my main memory ?, how it related to my
physical memory on tshe VAX. how could I convert both number in to the same
unit ?thank you very much

The Answer is :

  The SHOW MEMORY command displays information about physical memory (RAM) as
  follows:

$ show mem
              System Memory Resources on 1998-12-01 11:32:51.80

Physical Memory Usage (pages): Total Free In Use Modified
  Main Memory (128.00Mb)           16384         912       12634        2838

  The number in parentheses is in Megabytes. This is the same unit on both
  VAX and Alpha. All other numbers are measured in PAGES. On all VAX systems
  a page is 512 bytes. On all current Alpha systems, a page is 8KB (though
  this may vary for future systems).

  Obviously, the "Mb" figure is the same unit on all systems. To convert Alpha
  pages to "pagelets" (VAX pages) multiply by 16.
