Cumulative MONITOR recording file counters?

» close window

The Question is:

While decoding and analyzing the binary files
produced by MONITOR/RECORD, I noticed something
very odd in the SCS records. The KBYTMAPD
numbers for my HSJ controllers seem to climb for
a while, then drop down and start climbing
again. A typical sequence (with a 5-minute
recording interval) goes something like:

7503959
7503963
7503967
7872332
4470437
5299828
6100372
6919205
7609451
4202229
4951531
5735064

I find this a bit odd, and it definitely makes
analysis of the data somewhat tricky. None of
the HSJs monitored have been reset in the time
MONITOR was recording.

Does MONITOR have some sort of undocumented
upper limit that it caps its numbers at? Or am
I just missing something fairly obvious?

The Answer is :

It would appear there may be a bug in MONITOR here, as these fields
are listed as cumulative (count) fields, the Wizard would expect these
values would increase over time. Please contact the customer support
center, and expect to be asked for a copy of the MONITOR data file.
