Y2K Readiness for TCP/IP Services?

» close window

The Question is:

Is it true that OpenVMS v7.1 is packaged with UCX v4.1, and
that UCX 4.1 is not Y2K ready? If this is the case, how much is it
going to cost me to upgrade my UCX 4.1 to make it Y2K ready once
I acquire OpenVMS 7.1.

Thanks.

Philip

The Answer is :

Please visit the Year 2000 website for information on the current
Year 2000 readiness status of products. Pointers to the website
are included in the OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS (UCX) V4.2 is the current version of
the product, and was the version that shipped with OpenVMS V7.1.

There are ECO kits available for both UCX V4.1 and V4.2.

When visiting the Year 2000 readiness search page for information
on the UCX product (search by product name), make certain to
check the prior version status link from the Year 2000 product
search results page, and also please check the prior version
  support page at:

    http://ww1.digital.com/services/mcs/mcs_priorversion.htm
