configuring TCP/IP (UCX) lpr print queues?

» close window

The Question is:

I know how to make a reverse telnet lisener port and queue using a 90M.

Do you know the settings to make it an LPD Queue to a 90M.

Thanks,

Jeff

The Answer is :

Please see Chapter 16, "Setting Up and Managing the LPR/LPD Print Service"
in the TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS (UCX) Management manual. The use of
the provided ucx$lprsetup tool is the easiest, but you may need to use
some of the features available only via manual configuration of the
printcap file or via the various associated logical names.

You will, in particular, want to have the current TCP/IP Services for
OpenVMS (UCX) version and the associated ECO kit installed. You will
also want to have the DNAS V2.2 or later software installed on the
  DECserver 90M.
