SCSI disk for Multia?

» close window

The Question is:

I need an internal SCSI hard drive for my DEC Multia machine. The SCSI
adapter has a narrow interface (~2.5" wide, 50 pin) The bracket that the
drive needs to fit in is about 3" wide and ~1" tall. What I most likely
need is a notebook hard drive. Do yo
u know where I can find one? Thanks a mil.

The Answer is :

This question is outside the area of the OpenVMS Wizard -- this is a
hardware question for a system that is not supported by OpenVMS.

The RZ series SCSI disks were the ones most commonly found on the Multia
series devices -- please contact one of the various surplus equipment
vendors for assistance in acquiring an appropriate RZ-series SCSI disk.

Please see existing information and discussions on third-party SCSI
device support elsewhere here in Ask The Wizard.
