Cluster protocols and interconnects?

» close window

The Question is:

I am setting up a LAVC cluster.

The machines are two Alpha 4100's and a 1000 as the Quorum node.
The machines have two network connections: an FDDI to a shared network and a
100 Mb/s
Ethernet connection to a private ethernet for the 3 machines.

When configuring the cluster is there any way of forcing the cluster and
volume
shadowing traffic across the private Ethernet?

The Answer is :

Cluster applications operating over the cluster system communication
services protocol (SCS) -- MSCP disk services, lock management traffic,
etc -- are not individually controllable, and can be controlled only
via selecting paths for SCS itself. SCS path selection and MSCP
prefered path selection can be controlled using various tools including
the provided LAVC$STOP_BUS.MAR and LAVC$START_BUS.MAR tools, and the
PREFER tool. These tools are available in SYS$EXAMPLES:.
