The Question is:

Ask wizard a question :
I'm an OpenVMS programmer. I've developed a program that can directly
accesses the adapter's register on DEC2000.(It sounds like a device driver).
On the book "OpenVMS AXP Device Support: Developer's Guide" I found DEC2000
System Address Map(For more
details , please reference section 14.7.1). With the help of this address
map, I can directly read and write the registers of the adapter.
When I migrate the program to Alpha433au workstation, the program didn't
work properly. I think that there must be something wrong with the my
address map. Maybe I need a new system address map of Alpha433au. But I can
find nothing about the map. I also w
ant to get the system address map of 500au&600au . Can you help?

The Answer is :

You will need the current device driver documentation -- _Writing
OpenVMS Device Drivers in C_ is included as part of the OpenVMS
documentation set, and is available separately from Digital Press
  (http://www.bh.com/.)

Information at the level you seek generally also requires access
to the processor technical manual for the particular platform.

Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance
in acquiring the necessary low-level processor documentation.
