Remote printing via DECserver 300 TELNET?

The Question is:

 
I am setting up a remote site with an IP network.  I need to connect print
queues to remote printers on Decserver 300's using UCX$TELNETSYM.   I need
to print through the network.  I cannot get the printer to line feed.  All
lines overprint on the first l
ine on the page.  When I do a test port from the server itself, the print is
fine.
 
I found a "type" setting on a Decserver 90M which, when set to RAW,
performed properly.  I cannot find this setting on the Decserver 300.  I do
not have Decserver 90's at the site in question.
 
Could you tell me what settings I need to change to enable printing via IP
on the Decserver 300 with line feeds being recognized properly?

  Please contact Compaq Customer Support.
 
  Expect to be asked the TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS version, the ECO
  level for the product, as well as the particular local configuration.
