PPP over LAT?

The Question is:

 
Can I set-up a terminal server port in LATCP and then point pppd to use that
LAT device as a pppd device ?
 

The Answer is :

 
  If the Wizard understands correctly, what you want to do is possible.
  You want to have a LAT device (eg LTA998:) connected to a port in a
  terminal server box, and then use PPPD to set up an outbound PPP
  connection.  If so, this configuration is expected to work, and was
  one of the configurations that was tested as part of the PPP work.
