NFS on Microsoft Platforms?

» close window

The Question is:

I have a question regarding NFS, and mounting
the VMS drives. I would like the WIN95 and
WINNT systems on the network to be able to mount
the drive volume on a OpenVMS server. What should
I do? What interface should I use? what software
is available? What (software / hardware)
requirements are there?

I can be reached at 805.447.5149. My pager is
1.800.800.9554 PIN 71215, and when responding via e-mail,
please send a CC: to AntonioNB@aol.com.

thanks,

The Answer is :

The OpenVMS Wizard is not in a position to recommend software for
nor to support Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 95 systems.

To access an NFS server on OpenVMS, you will require an NFS client
package. Alternatives to the use of the NFS protocol include the
Advanced Server (PATHWORKS) and SAMBA packages.
