The Question is:

Hi Hoff!

Full fresh install of 6.2 on a VAX 4000/500 with Motif 1.2-4 and patches.
LAT & DECNET only. Trying to start an X-session from a VXT2000.

Everything is default. NCP database knows the nodes. Try to open a LAT X
session.
VXT message box reads LAT: Host does not support X Sessions.
Try to open a DECNET X session. VXT Message box says: DECnet X Session:
Host/network not responding.

Also on a DECNET X session attempt, I get an OPCOM:

Message from user AUDIT$SERVER on node GOBLIN yada yada alarm event,
Auditable event: Network login failure
Time:
PID 00000235
Process name NET_8231
Username ILLEGAL
Remote nodename VXT151
Remote node id 2799 (2.751)
Remote username VXT
Status %LOGIN-F-NOSUCHUSER, no such user

The UAF file has only the default accounts, DECterms work from the VXT, both
in DECNET and LAT.
No customizations to the DECWindows files. One proxy enabled, queues not
started, no batch queue.
VMS BASE, VMS USER, DVNETEND, and DW-MOTIF are the only licenses loaded.

PRobably something stupid, I know, but lend me a hand, will ya? LAstly,
whats the best book for working through
these kind of problems.

Thanks!!!!
