Privilege Failure Security Alarms?

» close window

The Question is:

Installed Image Privilege Failure

I am installing some application images for a client with privileges
required, so as to reduce the privileges required by the application startup
operators. In general this has gone just fine, and works for most cases,
except one of the main application i
mages.

Specifically, it has been installed with a set of privileges, one of which
is SYSPRV. After doing this, at application start time, I continue to get
privilege failure alarms from the auditing subsystem for the use of SYSPRV.
I even gave the operators SYSP
RV back, and the alarms persist. The security alarm (from the opcom message)
contains:

Auditable event: Privilege failure
Event information: SYSPRV not used to create a no-interlock file
access w
indow (F11BXQP)

Privilege Missing: SYSPRV

I have used ANALYZE/IMAGE, and the shared image list reveals
LIBRTL,MOUNTSHR, and DISMNTSHR. The application developer and I are both
stumped.

The Answer is :

A small reproducer would be in order -- please contact the Compaq
Customer Support Center with the details of the problem, the image
installation and shareable vs executable organization details, and
the code around the particular error being generated.
