Website: Always current date and same link color

The Question is:

 
Question on Wizard HTML Page...
In the HTML BODY statement for the site LINK &
VLINK appear to be set to the same colour ?.
This prevents me from telling which items I
have read (unless I tell Netscape to use my
colours instead). This appears to have happened
when the Compaq changes to the page were
implemented.
 
 

The Answer is :

 
 
  The current Compaq website standards wish all pages to always appear
  new, including not having the links change color and always having the
  current date listed on the page regardless of the actual last edit date.
