BACKUP remote tape access?

The Question is:

 
I have read in FAQ to backup files to remote tape. Right now, I need your
help to backup to remote disk.
I've tried to backup using :
$ backup/log/noass srcfile node"user
password"::device:[directory]/by_owner=original
 
and received the error message below  :
%BACKUP-F-INVDEVTYP, invalid backup device type AMT03"user password"::DEVICE
:[DIRECTORY];
 
It seems that it cannot recognize the remote node.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
