CMA$TIS_SHR?

The Question is:

I have a file CMA$TIS_SHR.EXE in SYS$SHARE that is of
a different date and size than other Alpha 7.1
users and this causes problems when I release
software as they get the usual shareable image
mismatch.

CMA$TIS_SHR.EXE;2 91/100 12-AUG-1998 15:24:47.13
CMA$TIS_SHR.EXE;1 41/45 25-NOV-1996 21:49:36.62

To what does this image relate ?

The Answer is :

This image is part of DECthreads and is used by various packages on
OpenVMS -- the TIS image contains the thread-independent services.

Please check for any relevent ECO kits that have been applied via
examination of the contents of VMSINSTAL.HISTORY (or PRODUCT SHOW
PRODUCT on V7.1-2 and later), or check the image identification value
(ANALYZE/IMAGE) and inquire further of the Customer Support Center.
(The image identification value is how specific image versions are
  checked.)
