Problems on DECwindows LOGOUT?

» close window

The Question is:

I have a standard Local Area Alpha Cluster. Each node uses it own system
disk for integrity. However, they all use a common sysuaf.dat,
rightslist.dat and netproxy.dat. We share a number of clustered disks under
a JBOD configuration.

Users have complained that they get a grey screen when they logout. This
does not happen to all accounts. I have deleted the .DT directory to force a
rebuild but it still occurs.

User have also complain that they get very small DECterms on logon which
they have to drag to the right size. This is irrispective of them going
through the correct procedure to save their current desktop look and feel.
Again this does not happen to every
 one.

All accounts are built using the same template.

Any ideas would be grealy appreciated.

The Answer is :

The list of files that must be shared within an OpenVMS Cluster are
included in the V7.2 and later versions of SYLOGICALS.TEMPLATE.

As for DECwindows, please acquire the available ECO kits for DECwindows,
for OpenVMS graphics device drivers, and the current Open3D version.
Please also ensure that process quotas are set to appropriate values.

DECwindows CDE saves attributes on logout -- failure to successfully
log out can result in loss of settings.

Your comment on "dragging" DECterm icons to the correct size is not
  immediately clear.
