DEC 3000 series and ISDN?

» close window

The Question is:

Hello

Recently I got a DEC300/400 Alphastation. I would like to connect it to
the ISDN network, but only for monitoring the D-channel (calling ID).
Is there any docuumentation on how to do this, eg. through the SODRIVER
QIO. I do not need to transfer any data on the B-channel.

It would also be nice to find informations on the ISDN and audio connectors.

Thank you - Andrew

The Answer is :

The OpenVMS Wizard is not particularly familiar with any available
OpenVMS software or device drivers for using the ISDN connection on
  the DEC 3000 series.

Tru64 UNIX networking has (or had) packages that used ISDN on this
  platform.

The SODRIVER is the OpenVMS sound driver, and is not related to ISDN.

This would require the creation of a device driver. Information on the
DEC 3000 ISDN hardware interface would likely be available in low-level
hardware documentation for the DEC 3000 series -- please contact the
Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance.
