Limits on TERMTABLE entries?

The Question is:

SUBJECT: LIMIT ON NUMBER OF DEVICES IN TERMTABLE

Dear Wizard!

We are running OpenVMS v6.2 on our VMSCluster of FOUR VAXes. We have
Printers of different brands. We have already added device types of most of
these printers in TERMTABLE by using a new file besides standard
TERMTABLE.TXT. The procedure SMGBLDTRM was executed successfuly to create
TERMTABLE.EXE. After rebooting the System some of the devices were
recognized by VMS but some were not.

My question is:
Is there any limit on number of Devices on the TERMTABLE. If Yes, then how
many Printers and how many Terminal devices can be added other than those
already specified in standard TERMTABLE.TXT.

Thanks

The Answer is :

Though the OpenVMS Wizard would recommend more consistency among
the various serial devices chosen as large numbers of different
devices can increase complexity and confusion, have you hit any
limit yet? If not, don't worry about it...
