OpenVMS fax (facimile) gateways?

The Question is:

 
How can I send a FAX from VMS?  I want to Fax an existing file on disk.  We
have a DEC FaxBox already installed, but the documentation I have only
discusses how to access it from our application (Cerner Corp HNA systems).
If a separate fax/modem is simpl
er/more appropriate I can go that route.  If there's already a great doc
about this, just point me there.  Thanks!

  Various facimile (fax) gateway products are available, either
  printer-like devices (faxes), or software gateways...
 
  Please contact your Compaq Reseller or the Compaq Customer
  Support Center for assistance locating an appropriate product
