OpenVMS on Workstations?

The Question is:

Is OpenVMS and it's layered products going to be supported on future Alpha
workstations?

The Answer is :

  Yes.

All discussions of specific I/O peripheral support aside, the OpenVMS
Wizard expects current and future Alpha workstations will have support
for OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, and Linux.

The OpenVMS Wizard is aware of no plans to implement any operating system
restrictions on the current and on the currently-planned Compaq Alpha
  server and workstation systems.

The OpenVMS Wizard is aware of recent (misleading) discussions around
restrictions in console programs that prevent use of OpenVMS on various
Alpha systems. While there were such restrictions implemented in the
consoles used on DIGITAL Server and DIGITAL Professional Workstation "-a"
series systems, restrictions that were intended to permit only Microsoft
Windows NT to bootstrap on the systems -- no such restrictions are
planned for new systems. (The OpenVMS Wizard has inferred that Linux
also apparently bootstraps on these Windows NT "only" systems.)
