BACKUP unable to allocate disk?

The Question is:

Starting after the 1st of the year, when our backup runs it says that our
backup data disk is allocated to another user and will not mount.  We can
show device and it is online and we can mount and dismount  the disk from

The Answer is :

  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly for assistance,
  as more detailed information on the particular OpenVMS system or OpenVMS
  Cluster configuration and environment will be required, including details
  such as the particular VAX system, the particular disk type involved, the
  particular DCL command(s) involved, and the exact error message(s) that
  are received.
