The Question is: This is to do with the /BEFORE qualifier no the BACKUP & DELETE commands. Why wasn't the file backed up, but it was deleted? (see log file extraction below): $ backup/log/before="-7-" dev:[dir]file.*;* dev2:[dir2]*.*;* %BACKUP-W-NOFILES, no files selected from dev:[dir]file.*;* $ delete/log/before="-7-" dev:[dir]file %DELETE-I-FILDEL, dev:[dir]file.ext;1 deleted (1008 blocks) The Answer is : Please acquire any available BACKUP ECO kit, and -- if the problem then persists -- please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly. Please also note that BACKUP /BEFORE and /SINCE default to /MODIFIED, while commands such as DIRECTORY and DELETE /BEFORE and /SINCE default to /CREATED.
