The Question is: i have an es40 attached to esa10000 with hsg80's my main question is ..."Can VMS boot to a fiber attached drive?" i dont have a local drive on the es40. do you have any notes on setting up this config for the hsg80 and the >> prompts. i ran wwidmgr and i can see the drives. is that all i need to do thanks The Answer is : Yes, OpenVMS can bootstrap from a disk accessed via Fibre Channel. Please visit: http://www.openvms.digital.com/openvms/fibre/index.html See the section on creating a cluster with a shared Fibre Channel system disk.
