Managing SCS Traffic?

The Question is:

I'm looking at implementing a split-site cluster using VAXs under V6.2 with
FDDI as the interconnect. For disaster tolerance I'm thinking of putting two
FDDI adapters into each VAX as well as keeping the single standard 10Mb
 Ethernet adapter. First, will
SCS load-balance across both FDDI connections ? Second, is it possible to use
LAVC$STOP_BUS and LAVC$START_BUS to run SCS traffic across one (chosen) FDDI
adapter while keeping the other one enabled for SCS in case the 'primary' one
 fails ? Are there an
y other 'hints and kinks' on directing network traffic that I should be looking
 at ?

The Answer is :

  Respectively:

  Yes.

Yes, but it is far better to allow all SCS connections to operate
  entirely in parallel.

Yes, you will want to let SCS handle the failover and the available
  connections and the communications checks.
