The Question is:

Trying to boot on mt OVMS 7.2 CD on a AlphaStation 500 I'm getting the
 following errors.

First I get

A device on the boot line, or in BOOT_DEV, cannot be found in the cofig tables.
Console path name SCSI 0 4 0 0 0 0 0, ID=00000000.06461095
Ignoring the device, and not loading boot drive

Then I get
BUGCHECK

Bugcheck code=000001CC:INVEXCEPTN, exception while above ASTDEL
Crash CPU:00 Primary CPU:00 Active CPU:000000001
No current process defined in CPU database

The Answer is :

You appear to have a hardware, SCSI, or CD-ROM problem.

Assuming you have a supported SCSI configuration (SCSI termination,
SCSI length, SCSI unit number assignments, etc) and a supported
CD-ROM device, please contact your hardware support organization.
