The Question is:

I need to bridge two sites with OpenVMS v7.1 on VAX systems and DECnet 6.2 and
 other tcp/ip platform.

Windows client connect to VAX through Pathworks32 and LAT.

What hardware (bridge or B/router) can I use ?

Thanks in advance.

The Answer is :

Please contact the Compaq Presales Technical Support folks, or your
Compaq Representative, or your local Compaq Reseller -- the OpenVMS
Wizard is not a Networking wizard, and is not a particularly good
resource for answering questions on the available network bridges
and brouters, and is also not familiar with your particular local
networking requirements and restrictions, nor with what sorts of
communications links are available in your area.

Put another way, most any appropriate Bridge or Brouter configuration
is (and should be) entirely transparent to OpenVMS and networking
protocols such as DECnet, IP (including DECnet-Plus over IP), and
LAT. Though protocols such as LAT require bridging or switching,
as the LAT protocol does not offer routing capabilities.
