SCSI timeout adjustments?

» close window

The Question is:

I know there must be a parameter that adds time to the SCSI timeout. But I
cannot find it. It must be something with mscp....
can you help me out here

The Answer is :

MSCP timeouts are not particularly tied to the timeouts with the
underlying hardware (other than needing to be as long or longer
than the underlying timeouts, of course), and the timeouts on the
underlying hardware are generally tied into the device drivers or
  to the device hardware itself.

The Alpha SRM console does have an environment variable controlling
a delay factor, and this can be used to account for the latency of
(console SRM) access to certain SCSI devices such as CD-ROM drives.

Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly. Expect
to be asked to elaborate further on the particular problem(s) you are
seeing, any error messages, the particular device(s) involved, etc.
