NT FTP Server access denial?

» close window

The Question is:

Wizard,

We are running OpenVMS 7.1 and have a batch job that runs copy/ftp to an NT
server. This job has run for two years with no hitch, however we have just
upgraded to TCPIP 5.0a and today, the copy/ftp job does not
work...error=access denied. The full line is
 copy/ftp 'file_N' server"user password"::"/directory"
If I run the above manually with ftp, I have no problems. Also, if I do not
specify a directory at the end, then no problem. The problem is with the
directory point. The permissions are all correct on the NT side. Again, no
problem with ftp and put. Any i
deas ??
Thanks

The Answer is :

The OpenVMS Wizard is not familiar with any similar problem reports,
please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance --
access denials usually arise from the FTP server end; from the remote
end of the FTP connection. Further, if the FTP connection without
the directory specification is functioning, then the OpenVMS end
would appear to be operating correctly.

You may/will need to enlist the assistance of an NT Wizard for this
task, and for information on any logging that might be available or
otherwise enabled within the NT FTP server.

Use of OpenVMS Alpha V7.1-2 (or V7.2-1) is recommended over V7.1.
