Access to StorageWorks Command Console?

» close window

The Question is:

A telnet accessable alternative to Storage Works Command Console is needed. I
 need to access storage controlers accross a wide area network sometimes
 through the internet via a secure telnet session through a firewall. This is
 OK for the HSJ* controlers
 since I can SET HOST/DUP into their consoles and make the necessary changes,
 but for the HSZ* controlers I do not have the same interface. When I
 researched the SET HOST/SCSI command what I found was the it was a
 discontinued product (HSZTERM) and that
I should use Storage Works Command Console (see the Q&A articals listed below).

The system I am currently working with is a HSZ52/SW300 connected AS1000/466
 running VMS 7.2 (I have newer systems that need a solution as well). Is
 HSZTERM still available or has it been retired completely? Is there another
 solution that will suite my
needs? Why was SSCC forced on VMS customers (GUI is not always the best
 solution)?

                                       Seeking HSZterm?

The Question is:

I'm running VMS V6.2-1H3 on an AlphaServer 4000/400.  I have a pair of HSZ50
 controllers, V51Z-3.

I am looking for HSZTERM to connect from VMS to HSOF, and have not been able to
 find a public site that I can download from. Is there somewhere this software
 is available to me?

Thank you.

The Question is:

Hi,
what software do I need to install to manage an
HSZ70 from the dcl prompt
When I try set host/scsi <device> I get the error
message
$ set h /scsi $1$DKA100:
%DCL-W-ACTIMAGE, error activating image HSZTERM$SCSIPAD
-CLI-E-IMAGEFNF, image file not found
DSA0:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSEXE]HSZTERM$SCSI
PAD.EXE;
I've tried installing hszterm010, but it doesn't work?

regards
