FTP File Transfer Formats?

The Question is:

 
 	I have a question related to to FTP.  When a file is sent to ALPHA/VMS
 (version 6.2) how do you tell the VMS side to accept a fixed length record and
 200 bytes in length?  I have tried sending a file from the mainframe to the
 VMS side but it keeps comin
g over as variable length.

  Which IP package?  Which version?
 
  The two FTP settings typically used are binary and text.
 
  The SET FILE command can also be used to alter the file attributes
  settings, and the CONVERT utility can be used to alter the format
