The Question is: I am having trouble with setting up a print queue on a xp900. SI# NI94602566. Using the following commands in the Systartup_vms.com yields no luck. DEFINE /SYSTEM $PRINTER LRA0: SET PRINTER $PRINTER /LOWERCASE/NOWRAP - /NOTRUNCATE/CR/WIDTH=132/PAGE=66 SET DEVICE /SPOOLED=(SYS$PRINT,SYS$SYSDEVICE:) - $PRINTER INIT/QUE/START/PROC=PRTSMB/AUTOSTART_ON= - AE1027::$PRINTER: SYS$PRINT ENABLE AUTOSTART /QUEUES Rebooted. Typing $ sho/que/full/all shows the print que SYS$PRINT as idle and mounted. No printouts to the printer. ( HP1100 ). This works fine on an AlphaStation 500 V6.2-1H3. Thank You. The Answer is : If SET PRINTER/POLLED does not help here, please contact the customer support center directly as details of the parallel port configuration on the AlphaStation XP900 and on the previous AlphaStation 500, and the printer configuration and requirements, will be of interest.
