The Question is: how many models of the h3600 are there? Whats the difference The Answer is : The H3600 is a part number assigned to a S-box (BA213, BA215 series) bulkhead used for various Q-bus MicroVAX CPUs in the S-box, including the KA630 MicroVAX II, the KA650 MicroVAX III (VAXstation 3500, MicroVAX 3500, etc), and the KA655 MicroVAX III+ (MicroVAX 3800, etc) -- please first see the MicroVAX CPU information in the FAQ, then please contact your hardware service organization, or please see the Compaq Assisted Services information included in the FAQ. There are at least two revisions of the H3600 series bulkhead. The other widget was the H3263-00 KA630CNF module -- this widget plugs directly into the CPU for maintenance or specialized configurations; where the H3600 BA213/BA215 series or the BA123/BA23 series bulkhead was not feasible. For the settings on the H3600 series bulkhead, please see the FAQ. Here are the settings for the H3263 module: sw 1 : OFF(0) = halts disabled, ON(1) = halts enabled sws 2 3 4 : console baud rate 0 0 0 = 300 1 0 0 = 600 0 1 0 = 1200 1 1 0 = 2400 0 0 1 = 4800 1 0 1 = 9600 0 1 1 = 19200 1 1 1 = 38400 sws 5 6 9 10 : Power up mode 0 0 1 0 = normal operation 1 0 1 0 = language inquiry 0 1 0 1 = loopback test 1 1 1 0 = manufacturing use only sws 7 8 : CPU operation mode 0 0 = normal operation all other settings reserved.
