TCP/IP SHOW HOST causes ACCVIO?

» close window

The Question is:

Having recently moved our commercial database cluster onto an Alpha platform
running VMS7.2 I have a problem with TCP/IP. The platform was built in a test
environment but now it is live on the network and a few problems have surfaced.
If I enter UCX (Sorry....it's tcp/ip now isn't it) and do a simple 'show hosts'
 command the machine dumps :-
127.0.0.1 LOCALHOST, localhost
%SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=000000002A95
0410, PC=FFFFFFFF804763FC, PS=0000001B

Improperly handled condition, image exit forced.

Does this BIND is not properly configured ?

Thanks in anticipation

The Answer is :

It means that there is a pretty nasty internal problem with TCP/IP
Services -- either with the database or with the tools. If this is
TCP/IP Services V5.0A, please contact the Compaq Customer Support
Center, as this needs to be looked at. (If this is not V5.0A, then
please try that upgrade first -- and delete the current (possibly
corrupted) configuration files and try the full configuration pass
  again.)
