The Question is: What is the difference between concurrent and interactive licenses The Answer is : Interactive licenses are available on OpenVMS VAX only. Concurrent licenses are available on OpenVMS VAX and OpenVMS Alpha. Both a concurrent and an interactive user are users that are not logged into the OpenVMS system directly, and users that do not pass through LOGINOUT or the normal interactive login process, and that have no particular direct access to DCL or similar OpenVMS features -- these users are expected to be dedicated to a particular set of applications and to a predetermined application environment. Please see the OpenVMS Software Product Description (SPD) for specific details on the OpenVMS licensing options and requirements. Depending on the OpenVMS release, the SPDs are available at: http://www.digital.com/info/SP2501/ http://www.digital.com/info/SP4187/
