VAX Time Of Year (TOY) Battery?

This is a hardware oriented question, since I can no longer search the
 digital.com domain...
 
Is there a battery in the MicroVAX 3400 to maintain the TOY when the system is
 powered down or unplugged?

  Clearly yes, but that likely wasn't your real question.
 
  Most Q-bus VAX systems use a nickel cadmium (NiCd) battery pack to
  provide roughly 1 milliamp per hour of electrical power to the system
  support chip (SSC) and the time of year (TOY) clock.  On various of
  the Q-bus MicroVAX systems, these NiCd batteries are mounted on the
  console bulkhead -- and this includes the MicroVAX 3400 KA640 CPU.
 
  Later VAX systems tend to use FEPROM for all but the TOY clock value,
  meaning that only the time is volatile on battery failure.
 
  If the system is prompting for time during the bootstrap, check that
  the TOY value is valid, and that the parameters TIMEPROMPTWAIT and
  SETTIME are set appropriately.  Also confirm that the NiCd battery
  pack is both functional and fully charged, of course.
