FTSO copy fails after reconnection?

» close window

The Question is:

We are currently experiencing the following problem with FTSO.

We are copying a 248427 block ZIP file accross our WAN on a 64K link running
TCP/IP VAX to VAX. The copy works fine on smaller files, and has worked before
for large files of this type. The copy starts but fails after about 2-3 hours
 only partially copy th
e file.

The FTSO log shows the following:

FTSO Job: 6743 (F) Posted at: Fri Dec 1 14:09:41 2000 By: WILSON_M
Command: copy tddv05_cis2000cm_000_vc_release.zip tddv05_ftp::*.*
Completed at: Fri Dec 1 15:01:49 2000 Status: error

Terminated at: Fri Dec 1 15:01:48 2000 Status: error
%cftp_set_idle_time, normal
504 SITE Unknown type.

%FTSO-E-DESEXIS, destination file already exists, not superseded
%FTSO-E-TASKFAIL, secondary job 674301 has failed

We've checked the links and they are OK. I can't work out why it looks as if
it's trying to overwrite the file again and failing. If that is why it is
 failing.

Thanks for any ideas/help.

Cheers

Matt Wilson

The Answer is :

This would appear to be a bug in the version of FTSO in use.
