Configuring TCP/IP, DECwindows IP transport?

» close window

The Question is:

what documents cover @UCX$CONFIG functions, in particular the TCP/IP setups
that support/enable ping and X-Windows thru router?

The Answer is :

The TCP/IP Services documentation covers the TCPIP$CONFIG utility
and tools such as ping. (UCX$CONFIG would indicate a version of
the TCP/IP Services prior to V5.0.)

Details on enabling the DECwindows (X Windows) IP transport are
  covered in the OpenVMS FAQ.

Information on the IP router will have to be obtained from the
  router vender.

An upgrade to TCP/IP Services V5.0A with ECO (or later), and to
OpenVMS Alpha V7.1-2 (or later) is recommended.
