Setting up TCP/IP Services in Cluster?

» close window

The Question is:

Dear Wizard,

I have a question related to TCPIP V5.0A.
I have the need to define an IP address on an OpenVMS node and fail it over to
another node as needed in a multi-node cluster.

Can I do that under TCPIP V5.0A? I have looked at the doc, I found the
"ifconfig" command with the alias argument. Am I on the right path? Is there
an example on how to add the extra IP address and remove it on the fly?

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Rami Zureick

The Answer is :

Look for "Cluster Load Balancing" in the TCP/IP Services documentation
index, and see the section of the TCP/IP Services Management manual
covering "Setting Up a TCP/IP Services Cluster", in the first chapter
  of the manual.
