FTAM (OSI) over IP?

» close window

The Question is:

I current have FTAM running over an X25 link talking to a host via a DECNIS. I
 have run out of slots.
I want to be able to use FTAM over IP so I can route using a CISCO router. I
have TCP/IP running for telnet connections. Can I do this , or do I have to
 install a new version FTAM.

Thanks
Steve

The Answer is :

You can configure DECnet-Plus to operate over IP, and thus you can
use FTAM and other OSI applications over IP. (RFC1006)

Without details of your versions, it is difficult to say if you
  should upgrade.
