Maximum Supported Cluster Distances?

» close window

The Question is:

What is the maximum distance between two nodes of a VMScluster?

Is there a way to provide a supported configuration with nodes more than 500
 miles apart?

The Answer is :

The limit for a supported configuration is listed in the software
product description (SPD), and is currently 150 miles for standard
configurations. Maximum distances of upwards of 500 miles (as of
this writing) are also possible, with specific support and assistance
  from Compaq.

DRM and related storage mechanisms can provide for yet wider
  configurations.
