Where can I find information on SPEC files (and the syntax of their contents)
 to be used in the VMS SORT command.

  In the OpenVMS documentation set, in the OpenVMS User's Guide, in
  in the chapter on the SORT/MERGE Utility.
 
  A pointer to the on-line OpenVMS documentation set is included in
  the OpenVMS FAQ.
 
  If you are unsure of where in the OpenVMS documentation set you should
