HSG80, Fibre Channel, SYSUAF Corruption?

» close window

The Question is:

After upgrading our IO-subsystem from HSZ50 to HSG80 out SYSUAF.DAT is
 corrupted all several minutes.
Analyze/rms returnes the following message
VBN 150 Bucket check byte is out of phase
VBN 150 record at offset %022A has invalid data key compression
VBN 150 Key and/or data do not fit in primary data record
Unrecoverable error encountered in structure of file.
Sometimes, sysuaf.dat gets ok, if sysuaf.dat is inactive.
We are using Oracle 7.3.3.6 in a disastertolerant Cluster with Alpha ES40.

The Answer is :

There is unfortunately an insufficient amount of storage and Fibre
Channel configuration detail included here, and a meaningful response
  is thus not particularly possible.

Please start with the application of the mandatory ECO kits for
OpenVMS Alpha V7.2-1 -- there are specific ECO kits which are central
to the correct operation of OpenVMS available for V7.2-1.

Ensure that you have the current HSG80 firmware loaded.

  Consider an upgrade to V7.2-2.
