IP Network and Cluster Alias?

» close window

The Question is:

1. Can a Cluster alias be assigned a tcp/ip address so that applications loaded
on the cluster can use the cluster alias address rather than the tcp/ip
address of individual nodes within the cluster ?

2. What document could I review for futher informtation on cluster aliases and
 TCP/IP?

Thanks,
Richard

The Answer is :

Please review the available TCP/IP Services product documentation
for details on configuring and enabling the available IP-based
cluster alias mechanisms. Of specific interest is the TCP/IP
Services management documentation. This and other core OpenVMS
documentation is referenced in the OpenVMS FAQ, and is available
  at the OpenVMS website.
